Whether you’re a nontraditional student trying to finish your bachelor’s degree or you’re returning to school to complete a graduate program, the campus has something for everyone, including a robust team of student services support personnel who can guide you through your higher education experience from start to finish.
K-State Olathe boasts a tech-driven campus with small classroom sizes to ensure you have plenty of one-on-one time with your professors. Conveniently located in Johnson County, you can pursue your education after work, on the weekends or even online.
Regardless of your learning style, K-State Olathe has another benefit: our student support services.
The Student Services team is designed to ensure that each learner has the help, support and guidance they need to succeed at K-State Olathe. Whether students are juggling a career or taking care of a family, they each have a difficult choice when it comes to returning to college. That’s why the student support services team works to provide each student who considers K-State Olathe with resources that will make their transition back to the classroom a smooth process.
Kimberly Voight, director of Student Services, has a goal to ensure that each learner receives the guidance they need to be successful.
“Students have a lot on their plates, so I want to make the process as easy and seamless as possible for them," Voight said. “I want to remove any barriers and solve any problems that I can so students can come back to school and achieve the next level of their education.”
As the director, Voight oversees the different programs and services that K-State Olathe offers to students to support learners regardless of where they are on their educational journeys.
K-State Olathe provides students with guidance and help connecting with resources they need, including:
When a student returns to higher education after some time away, they’re in a unique situation. Many learners feel isolated from their peers because they’ve already spent time in the workforce. They aren’t sure what to expect and whether it is too late for them.
“You have a support system here that can help you,” Voight said. “There are no silly questions. We can support you and guide you in finding the resources you need. All students who are returning to school are in the same boat and we want to make your transition back to the classroom a smooth one.”
