When you’re choosing where you’ll study, it’s important to make sure you’re looking at a university that will support you during your academic journey.

At K-State Olathe, we strive to make sure that each of our students feels supported throughout their academic programs.

We offer a variety of certificates, bachelor’s degree completion programs, master’s programs and noncredit programming. Whether you’re looking for an opportunity to enhance your professional skills or you’re hoping to dig deeper by earning a degree or certificate, we can help you.

Of course, one of the biggest questions you’re faced with when choosing a college is, “How do I know this is right for me?”

Most learners consider a variety of details, including location, before they’re ready to make their choice.

K-State Olathe is conveniently located in the KC metro, making it an ideal choice for professionals who are working in the area and want to continue their education while pursuing their careers.

Many of our learners are nontraditional students who are balancing jobs, families and personal responsibilities. We understand that and we plan our programming accordingly.

“The programs here are designed for working students and there’s a lot of program flexibility,” said Emily Robinette, who earned her M.S. in Veterinary Biomedical Science.

Because working students may be unable to attend classes during traditional business hours, we offer classes in the evening and ones that are asynchronous.

"Because I'm working full time, I wanted to enroll in a program that was flexible so that the classes and timing wouldn't disrupt my regular work schedule,” said Sheeja Mahesh, who studied regulatory affairs. “With this program, the classes were asynchronous and the online classes were toward the end of the evening.”

Most of our learners join us to enhance their job options and skills, so we take pride in providing hands-on learning opportunities that will make a difference in careers.

“I believe that we get real world experiences. As students, the faculty members have been amazing,” said Charles Carpenter, an urban food systems student. “The people here at the Olathe campus have helped us get different resources with job opportunities, networking events and professional development.”
